The modern West End Cup has been run at West End for 10 years, but its original form dates back to the early years of the club. What started out as a local, community focussed event to showcase the great tennis talent became one of Auckland and New Zealand's premier Tennis Tournaments. Over its last 10 year run it attracted the top local and international players to fight out for the largest prize purse outside of the ASB Classics and was the clubs largest annual fundraiser, allowing the club to redevelop and reinvest for its members.
In 2019, the club decided to take a break, refresh and look to come back bigger and better, however, the impacts of COVID have meant the event has been missing from our calendar for a few years. Hopefully, we can get back to showcasing the club and community to a nationwide audience soon!
