Welcome, Tennis Lover

The club was established in 1932 and is currently thriving with about 500 members, making it one of the largest tennis clubs in Auckland City. This website will outline the range of membership options and activities that take place. You are welcome to visit on club days – introduce yourself to the appropriate Club Coordinator and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of our club.

Juniors & Intermediates for December

We have two more Juniors Club days before we finish up for the festive holiday period - Sat 13 & 20 Dec.  We will start up again on 7 February 2015.

The last Intermediates Club evening will be on Thursday 11 Dec.  No Intermediates Club evening 18 Dec.  We will resume on 5 February 2015.

Corporate Function - Courts & clubroom  

Please be advised that on Friday the 19th of December Warren & Mahoney will be hosting their Christmas function at WELTC from 1pm to 10pm.  They will be utilising all courts and our clubrooms.

Congratulations to the following prize winners

1st Prize        Tanya Bassett won the Atlas Travel mystery weekend for two

2nd Prize       Bill Creak won the BMW for the weekend, Evolu skincare pack and dinner for two at Moo Chow Chow

3rd Prize        David Knott won the corporate box for six at the ASB Tennis Classic

4th Prize        The Cullen family won the Hungry Bin worm farm

5th prize        John Burns won the World Tennis Pack:   1 racquet and 1 lesson

6th prize        Sarah Harris won the Delmaine & 180 Degrees Christmas hamper

The special prize of a racket bag goes to Henry McPherson  who sold 107 tickets which was an outstanding effort and will be hard to beat next year.

Tennis for all ages

Children who are new to tennis are taught basic ground strokes and serving; those with more experience, volleying, how to score and play a match.
